The Empowerment Resource Center will provide free HIV Counseling, Testing & Referral Services during the
Center for Black
Women's Wellness' Women's Health Expo on Saturday, November 7, 2009.
Funded in part by the Georgia Department of Community Health and the CDC's
Expanded Testing Initiative, ERC will provide free HIV counseling, testing,
and referral services tand is expected to reach more than 500 African-American women!
ERC will provide these screenings at Twelve Hotel in Atlantic Station.
Please join us as we help to celebrate 21 years of dedicated service by the Center for Black Women's Wellness.
We recognize that early diagnosis continues to be paramount in better health outcomes. It is our goal to:
- Increase public knowledge about the HIV/AIDS epidemic,
- Establish routine HIV testing,
- Use resources to link those who are HIV positive to appropriate care,
- Help to reduce at-risk behaviors, and
- Lead in reducing the stigma associated with HIV.
